Paintball Times rises to the top of traffic rankings

There are over 30 million websites on the internet on almost every topic known to man, and some that are unknown to us. So how does the Times fair?

According to Alexa.com (May 2004), Paintball Times is now the 30,000 most visited website on the internet. Alexa.com is the Nielson ratings of the internet. (The lower the number the better.) But that’s not the good news.

See, the 30,000 ranking is a 3 month average. But since March 2004, our daily ranking graph has been showing PaintballTimes.com to be in the top 20,000 range. We recently changed hosting companies to allow more traffic and bandwidth, so in about 2 more months, if current traffic trends prevail, our rank will be back where it belongs; in the top 20,000 most visited websites online. That puts us far ahead of any other paintball website.

According to the Managing Editor of the Times, “I think a lot of this has to do with our new host, Gearworx, offering us more traffic and bandwidth than our previous host. They are a great host to work with and I highly recommend them.”

Alo continued, “We are really excited to see what can happen now that our server can handle the traffic. None of our visitors will be turned away or receive errors. Hopefully we’ll be up to 3 million hits soon. I really believe that is where we belong, in terms of traffic.”

To put this in persepctive, here is a look at how some other paintball websites rank: (lower is better)
