Paintball’s phenomenal run

In the last two years, paintball has taken some of the biggest steps in our short history. We have had a league split and numerous television deals come to life. It seems like we have come light years away from the 12 grams and 10 round tubes of the 80s and 90s.

While there are some detractors, most believe its a good thing. But you still have some of the hardcore old school ballers that think all of the progress is too much.

In the last 5 months, we have had five paintball television shows; Paintball2Xtremes on spike, the airing of the World Cup on ESPN, and the NPPL World Series on Fox Sports. Think about how amazing that is!

While I have been playing paintball for only two years, I have taken it upon myself to learn as much of our history as possible. The biggest thing in our future seems to be the television deals. The PB2X was the highest rated show on Saturday morning on Spike TV ever. If that’s not amazing what is?

Paintball is an a huge run. Paintball is one of the most popular extremes sports today, but it seems like people don’t know that. How have we managed to keep one of the greatest games a secret for so long?

Paintball on television is here to stay.

So I say to paintball world, RUN.
